During the day, you attend various classes which has made the day really stressful. Remember exams comes after every term or semester. Thus, you have to be well prepared if you don’t want to get some F9s. However, the best option will be a night study. Isn’t it? Yes, it is.

6. Avoid Alcohol

Staying away from alcoholic drinks should be noted by all students who would love to stay awake all night to study for exams. You need not to be told that alcohol is really bad for your health. Moreover, it makes someone sleep anywhere, anytime without specific duration.

In recent time, scholars whom try drinking alcohol to stay awake always find themselves asleep. Thus, say no to alcoholic drinks.

7. Don’t Get Too Comfortable

You can only sleep when in a comfortable posture. Lying on bed while studying can make you sleep unexpectedly. Get a chair to sit and a reading table to place your book(s). In addition, it is not necessary you study in your bedroom at night. Just discover your best location OK!

8. Move Around

Moving around your room is an example of exercise that can chase off sleep. This method was discovered a Californian Lecturer named Professor Robert Thayer. Prof. Robert Thayer conducted a test with the aim of discovering what can actually prevent people from sleeping at a bar by instructing some persons to drink caffeinated drink while others walk around for 10 minutes.

At the end of this test, it was discovered that those who walked around for 10 minutes stayed active 2hours extra than those who drank caffeinated beverage. Do you know why? It is because walking pumps oxygen through veins, brain and muscles. You can also apply this method to get a perfect result.

9. Take A Nap

Nap is a short period of sleep, especially one during the day. However, nap helps you keep your eyes open at night. Before taking a nap, make sure it is not too close to bedtime. Although, it’s recommended you take a nap 6 hours before bedtime which should last for at most 2 hours.

10. Avoid Fatigue

Fatigue is a weariness caused by exertion; exhaustion. To avoid fatigue, give eyes break while reading. In other words, always blink your eyes to avoid eyestrain and sleepiness. In addition, eyestrain can even cause headache which will definitely stop you from studying.

11. Keep Good Luminous Object

Never use a dull light for reading. It will make you sleep. Here is a hint why it happens that way. We don’t sleep during the day because the sun gives light while we sleep at night because the sun is no more. Trick your brain by having a very bright reading lamp so that it (the brain) will interpret the brightness as a day.

12. Be Focused

Never get yourself distracted. Keep phones, novels, games, movies aside to do the most important thing of your life. Remember, phones won’t be available in exam hall to Google search. It is what you have read nights back that will help you.

Practising how to stay awake all night to study for exam is not quite easy since you are not used to it only if you can use the above explained methods. However, practise makes perfection. Keep trying until you get it right.
